In terms of our specialist planning services, our high success rate in achieving our clients’ requirements is founded upon our long established experience and expertise as Planning Consultants, partnering with planning lawyers, resolving Planning Dispute issues and securing Planning permission. We apply an intricate working knowledge of the complex regulations, legislation and conventions that govern the planning system to progress our clients’ proposals.
In terms of our party wall services, we have been successful in working to achieve the tight timescales required by our ‘building owner’ clients who wish to commence their work as soon as possible. Our ‘building owner’ clients should expect this of their party wall surveyor. Equally, we apply our expertise to provide the peace of mind that is sought by our clients who own properties that adjoin the property at which works are being undertaken. We assess the proposals put forward by those undertaking the works and where necessary we will implement measures for the protection of the adjoining owner’s property and living environment during the course of the works.

Executive Team Director Mike Harry Dip.Surv FFPWS MCIArb MCIH FFPWAcad MPTS
Having qualified in business in 1985, Mike went on to Southbank University where he studied as a building Surveyor while at the same time taking on an apprenticeship as a Party Wall Surveyor. Mike continued his studies at the University College of Estate Management at Reading where he read Construction Law, Planning Law and Land Use & Development towards his diploma.
Mike spent his formative years in the industry working at senior level as a Building & Quantity Surveyor both within corporate and private practice. Noted for his intellectual endeavour in the industry, Mike has been the subject of national press acclaim and he has accepted industry mentoring and lecturing roles on behalf of the Construction Industry Training Board and others.
Mike's specialist interest is in the legal aspects of the surveying, construction, party wall and planning system. Mike is well versed in alternative dispute resolution practices in construction planning dispute adjudications and neighbourly matters dispute resolution. Mike is a certified commercial mediator and acts as a specialist mediator on the Party Wall Mediation Scheme.
Mike is regularly selected to act as Third Surveyor in party wall matters and he sits on the disciplinary panel of the Faculty of Party Wall Surveyors.
Mike has also written papers and articles for leading industry journals and has collaborated in the content of industry books.
During his many and varied years in practice within the industry, Mike has encountered most aspects of the Planning System and Party Wall issues. He has developed, applied and disseminated an intricate and technical command on the finer aspects of these specialism's and he has used his intellect and experience to the furtherance of both his commercial and private clients.
When he does find spare time, Mike has been known to frequent the odd classical concert and theatre production. Mike was also formerly Vice Chair on the board of trustees of a major disabled children's charity, a role he enjoyed and took satisfaction from for more than twenty years.
